JAYMIE GOBEILLE'S E-PORTFOLIO

Hello, my name is Jaymie Gobeille. This website is dedicated to my English class that I am taking at UNCC. As part of my English-1102 class, the final step in the course was to create an English portfolio using Wix to showcase our writing. This portfolio has been a semester long journey and includes major writing pieces as well as some informal pieces such as journal entries. These pieces varied in style as well as audience. As you will see, some pieces were more research based, while others were more personal. Some of the daily journal entries you will see were meant to make us think about topics we wouldn’t normally think about, or just give our own opinions on controversial topics. Although these entries are short, they opened up our minds and allowed us to have insightful discussions with the rest of the class. In the following sections you will find a variety of my work written throughout the semester. These sections include My Thinking, My Process, My Writing, My Blogs, and My Inquiry. Each of these sections has its own purpose. The My Thinking tab will let you know more about how I connect the concepts we learned in class to my actual writing. The My Process tab will show an example of my own piece of writing and how I came about putting together that specific piece. You will see what I changed from each draft and what my final draft looks like. Under the My Writing tab you will see three different major pieces of writing as well as five daybook entries that I think represent me as a writer and as a person. My Blogs showcase six blog posts that were done over the course of the semester. The last section, My Inquiry, shows my completed digital inquiry essay as well as my reflection on the process. Enjoy!
